Ice Breaker Event Info

The GR Blades Ice-Breaker Event is taking place on Tuesday, September 5th from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at Eagles Ice Center.

This event is the official kick-off to our season. There will be food, music, and fun for the kids. Also, there will be ice time offered for each age group so the kids can knock the rust off their skates and get to know their coaches.

The Blades Leadership will be holding parent meetings during the skates. These meetings will consist of a short presentation about the Blades program, and player/parent expectations, and offer ample time to answer questions. These meetings will be held under the tent set up in the grass area across the parking lot.

Ice Schedule and Parent Meeting times are as follows:

Learn to Skate and Cross Ice families are invited to attend, but, unfortunately, we will not be able to offer ice for those skaters until the first Saturday in October. (Parent Meeting to begin at 5:35)

5:30 – 6:20: Mites, Squirt House, Squirt A (Parent Meeting starts at 5:35)

6:30 – 7:20: Squirt AA, Pee Wee House, Pee Wee A (Parent Meeting starts at 6:35)

7:30 – 8:20: Pee Wee AA, Bantam A, JV (Parent Meeting starts at 7:35)

Blades helmet and car stickers will be available at the event.

The GR Blades Family Skate Sharpening Program will be on sale! 10 skate sharpenings at $6.00 per time for $60.00 or 5 sharpenings at $7.00 per time for $35.00. Single skate sharpenings will be $8.00. You will be able to pay with a credit card in the rink office.
