GR Blades

The membership of our hockey association is unique and is represented by skaters who live all over West Michigan, attending many different schools. Approximately a third of our skaters attend East Grand Rapids Public Schools, another third attend Grand Rapids Christian Schools, while the remaining third live all over the area, with several attending the Forest Hills Public Schools, other Christian schools and Catholic Schools. To this end, the name EGRAHA (East Grand Rapids Amateur Hockey Association) does not really represent our entire organization. In order to better represent who we are, we changed the name of our association. Starting next season, we will be skating as the Grand Rapids Blades!

The Grand Rapids Blades were one of the original teams skating in the old USHL, and we skate in one the original hockey rinks in Grand Rapids. So just as Jolly Roger has seen a rebirth as Eagles Ice Center with all its improvements, the Grand Rapids Blades will take the ice once again.
